Our Love Language! :)

Today has been a day of Pure Laziness! If that is a word! Ha! It has rained all day long. A few storms here and there!

Calleigh had a Great day at school! I cleaned some! Corey and I just pretty much Chilled at the house with Camp! Corey was off of work b/c of rain!

Later in the day. I saw a friends, Amanda, Blog post about 'The 5 Love Languages'. It's a Book by Gary Chapman! About finding your Love Language and learning how to express that towards your spouse.

The 5 Love Languages Quiz

I was once told about this book by a family member. She told me how, She and her husband were reading it and really liked it. How it answered alot of Questions that they had always wondered about! Eachother's Love Language! :)

We all have a different Love Language and Everyone is different. You may have the same, or you may have one or a Few! Either way. There is something different about each of us that make us feel loved by our Spouse!

I have wondered this for a While now about Corey & I, But he's not one to really sit down for a Book and take a quiz. I did not know that you could take it online in like 15 minutes!

So today, after reading my friends Blog, I followed the link she had posted, (the one I have above) and took the Quiz. I just knew while taking it, It would say, I love Gifts! HaHa! at least I felt that way! Once I was finished. I was somewhat shocked, Yet so Understood alot now!

My top Love Language was 'Quality Time'. This makes perfect sense. I am always begging Corey to just spend time with me! or go somewhere, Nothing Fancy. I just want to be with him! Watch a movie, or snuggle before we fall to sleep or just take a ride together. I just like to have 'Quality Time'

I then asked Corey to take the Quiz. He agreed! I told him. "Yours will be Physical Touch". Ha! and I was right! He is always, hugging on me, loving on me, Telling me how much he loves me and so on! Second was 'Words of Affirmation' This fits him perfectly!

But the only thing, is that, I guess in the book it talks abut how whatever 'Our' Love Language is, We tend to act it out toward our spouse, When we are supposed to be Acting out 'Their' Love Language to them and they are supposed to be acting out 'Our' Love Language to us! '

So pretty much, I have been trying to spend My Love Language, 'Quality Time' on Corey and he really does not care for that! Where as, he has been acting out His Love Language ' Physical Touch' & ' Words of Affirmation' to me. And I really don't have to have that!

Dont get me wrong, I love when My husband Hugs me in the day and tells me how much he loves me, But I don't NEED it 30 times a day! :) Why? B/C that is not My Love Language! But, He does need that! He likes to be hugged on and told hes a good man and I Love him! and nice things like that!

So after we took this Quiz, Its been fun today! He finds him self saying to me: ' Come sit with me and watch this show, It's your Quality Time' and I find my self going to him and Saying " I love you and thanks so much for helping with the kids today" while giving him a Hug!

I guess its the little things! But I think it is cool to know that about each-other! Now we can work on each others 'Love Language' and Work to make our Love for each-other Grow more and more each day!

I think you should all take the Love Language Quiz if you are Married or about to be Married! It just helps so much. Now that I have taken the Quiz. I need next to get the Book and read it front to back!

Dont get me wrong, Ill agree with my friends on this one. Marriage is hard! We have our Ups and our Downs, But we always Remind the other that we still Love them and they mean the world to us! Marriage takes Work! That's how we Grow!
